As the sun sets and the night sky comes to life, your adventure kicks off with a short kayaking briefing on the riverbank before we hit the water to take in the views. As the river reflects the changing colours of dusk and a light mist rises over the water, you’ll switch on your headlight and start spotting native wildlife. Keep an eye out for kangaroos, possums and a variety of native birdlife.

The peaceful bends of the river lead you to a quiet spot where you’ll stop to enjoy a warm drink or soup (provided). With stars now shining bright overhead, your guide will point out the unique features of the Southern Sky, sharing insights into what makes it so special. Then, for a moment of calm, we’ll switch off the lights and simply float – taking in the stillness, the stars and the sounds of the night. You’ll paddle back under moonlight guided by your headlight and the reflection of the stars.
