We have the range of equipment, permits, staff skills and knowledge to design a special program that will meet your specific needs.
Whether you are looking for a structured activity to develop specific skills and meet certain outcomes, or you’re just looking for a fun activity for everyone to enjoy, Go Ride a Wave has what you need. Contact us to see how we can look after your groups.
Find out just how easy body boarding really is and how much fun it can be. Body boarding is a great introduction to the ocean, building on water confidence. Body boarding is great for primary school and early secondary age students.
Your students will be fitted out in quality wetsuits all year round in Victoria and during winter in Queensland, making this an all year round experience.
Group discounts are available for groups larger than 8.
We offer programs at numerous locations. Most of our beaches can cater for groups up to 50 at one time. To ensure we can cater for all groups we have over 800 wetsuits and 75 quality body boards. For groups with larger numbers we can offer a mixture of activities at several different locations to ensure everybody is doing something.
We train our staff with above industry standard of qualifications so you can rest assured your group is being well looked after. Safety, then fun is our priority. Body boarding ratios are also 1:7 ie 1 instructor to maximum of 7 participants. Group leaders are free (within reason).
SUP and Giant SUP
Stand Up Paddle board “SUP” lessons are a fantastic way to get yourself on the water and fit for life. This ancient Hawaiian activity sport of kings is a safe and healthy way to explore the waterways or oceans while giving your core a workout. SUP lessons are also a fantastic way to build your ocean confidence and improve your surfing skills.
Included in your SUP lesson (stand up paddle boarding lesson):
Stand up paddle board (Soft learner G board)
What you need to bring:
Change of clothes
We run small class sizes for our stand up paddle boarding lessons so booking in advance is essential.
With small personal group sizes, you know that you will be well looked after and guaranteed a fantastic first experience.
You will learn basic paddling techniques and how to turn and we will take you on a journey with a few games along the way, to help make sure you learn all the basic skills.
Surf Safety Training
Not everyone’s familiar with the beach environment making Go Ride a Wave’s surf safety lessons a must. Our expert staff teach water safety, ocean awareness and surf life saving techniques.
Students will walk away at the end of the session with a better appreciation of our environment and a better understanding of how to look after themselves and others at the beach.
We provide in-depth information about rips, currents, board and tube rescues, how to safely enter and exit the surf, and the importance of body surfing.
These sessions are an excellent lead-in to any of our programs and many schools use this as their first camp activity and to build students’ confidence.
