Mini Bus Shuttle Transport

Should your group need assistance with transport, Go Ride A Wave now has two 11-seater mini buses available for hire. Each bus comes with a driver, so we can shuttle your group to and from your activity with ease.

While the buses are based in Anglesea, we’re not limited to this area and can arrange transport beyond if required.

Surfing

Our most popular offering is our surfing activity tailored for beginners, aiming to instil the exhilaration of wave riding from the very first lesson. We ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all ages and skill levels in shallow waters, providing all necessary gear including soft surfboards, wetsuits (all year in Victoria, winter in QLD), rash vests (in QLD during summer), and sunscreen.

The initial lesson encompasses ocean awareness, safety, board control, wave catching, and standing techniques. For those looking to further hone their skills, we offer ongoing, advanced lessons to deepen ocean knowledge and surfing proficiency.

Bodyboarding

Our bodyboarding lessons are perfect for young enthusiasts and first-timers to the ocean. They’re incredibly fun and simple, ensuring a pleasurable and straightforward experience. The lessons are designed specifically for beginners, with the goal of providing the thrill of catching waves in a secure and enjoyable setting.

Suitable for participants of all ages and abilities, these lessons take place in the safety of shallow waters. We supply all the necessary gear, which includes soft surfboards, wetsuits (available throughout the year in Victoria and during the winter in Queensland), rash vests for the Queensland summer, and sunscreen. Each session is dedicated to teaching ocean awareness, safety, how to control the board, and the basics of catching waves.

Our Surf Safety program offers an engaging and comprehensive introduction to ocean education, tailored to be inclusive and interactive. It’s a concise primer on surf lifesaving elements, designed to teach new skills in rescue operations and to enhance participants’ understanding of the marine environment.

The program covers surf awareness, swimming techniques, and various rescue methods using tubes and boards. It’s a dynamic learning experience suitable for all ages and skill levels, with adjustments available to accommodate both the young and the more mature. Sessions are held in the safety of shallow waters, and we provide all the necessary equipment, including wetsuits (all year in Victoria, and during winter in Queensland), rash vests for the summer in Queensland, and sunscreen.

With a scoring system that allocates points for gold, silver, and bronze finishes, every activity becomes a spirited competition with the ultimate goal of accumulating the highest score. It’s an exciting way to encourage team bonding through laughter and friendly competition, and with wetsuits provided for water events, everyone can choose just how wet they want to get.
