Woolworths SurfGroms
Go Ride A Wave and Noosa Surf Lessons are proud to be associated and run the Woolworths SurfGroms in Noosa. SurfGroms programs cater to groms between the ages of 5-12 years old, nationally.
This program not only teaches kids an exhilarating new sport, but educates them in ALL aspects of ocean awareness and beach safety.
SurfGroms offers the ultimate opportunity for those looking to learn, experience and enjoy the timeless exhilaration of surfing whilst also gaining a real understanding of water awareness and surf safety that will stay with them for the rest of their lives.
What's Included
Every child registered for a SurfGroms program will receive a one-size fits all hooded Rip Curl towel and their own online copy of the SurfGroms logbook to help them track their skill progression and work on activities at home. This logbook will be attached to your confirmation email in the form of an editable PDF that can be completed on a device, or printed off at home if preferred.
Rip Curl rash vests will be available at each surf school for SurfGroms to use during each session. However, unlike previous years these will be returned to the school after use. Participants do not keep their rash vests this year, but instead get a fantastic Rip Curl Trucker Cap that should prove very useful after each session. Soft foam beginner surfboards are supplied by Go Ride A Wave for use during the program.
We have 2 types of Woolworths SurfGrom programs:
- 4 day intensive programs during school holiday times with sessions running daily from Monday to Thursday.
- Term programs which are usually one day a week for 4 weeks on Saturdays or Sundays.
- Classes run daily from 8am to 9.30am
We will provide wetsuits in winter and rashies in summer.

How to find us
If you are driving along Noosa Parade or heading down Noosa Hill, follow the signage towards Hastings Street. Once you arrive at the main roundabout in Hastings Street turn left and head towards Noosa Woods. Keep following the road towards the Noosa river mouth.

Meeting Point
BEACH HIRE
Noosa Beach Hire is located on the beach beside the rock wall at the end of access 14 carpark. This is the first carpark on your right. Parking can be found throughout Noosa Woods. Operating hours are 8am to 5pm over school holiday times and 9am to 4pm the rest of the year.
SURF LESSONS
Go Ride A Wave surf lessons are run from access 11 in Noosa Woods. Keep following the road towards the river mouth and you will see our white trailer located at access 11. We meet 15 minutes before the start of your lesson. During the busy school holiday periods we recommend allowing time for parking.
