Noosa Heads Beach Hire Learn to surf, daily surf lessons and beach hire

Noosa Beach Hire, on the Sunshine Coast, is another fantastic place for surf lessons. Conditions are ideal for surf lessons or surf hire with warm water, a safe beach, and most of all, one of Australia’s most iconic surf destinations! As a result our surf school specialises in daily beginner surf lessons. We have 2 hour surf lessons every day at 10am and 2pm with an additional class at 8am during busy school holiday times.

Group and private lessons are also available on request. Our surfing lessons are almost all conducted in waist deep water, to keep it safe for beginners. Noosa learn to surf is run by Go Ride A Wave – Australia’s favourite surf school, which was established in 1987. Go Ride A Wave is part of Surfing Queensland Surf Schools.

We also have an extensive Weetbix Surfgroms Program for kids aged between 5 and 12. There are 4 day intensive programs during school holidays and also term programs on Saturday mornings. Lessons include a long sleeve rash shirt in summer and a full length Quiksilver wetsuit in winter due to the cold water. In addition we have an excellent range of soft beginner surf boards – G Boards, ranging in size from 6 ft 4 inch to 9 ft 6 inch. If you use a bigger board, it will be easier to stand up as a result.

We recommend 8 years old and above for our normal daily lessons because 2 hours is a long time for younger kids. If you would like to have younger kids join in we are happy to take them if we can get a parent to assist in the water. It can also be hard for them to push the board around on their own so they will consequently need more help. We have recently bought Noosa Surf Lessons.
