SurfGroms classes Broadbeach, on the Gold Coast are run by Go Ride A Wave. We are part of Surfing Queensland Surf Schools.

nudie SurfGroms is a great way to get your 5-12 year olds into surfing. The program covers ocean awareness, beach safety and surfing skills. It encourages healthy lifestyle choices and helps children enjoy the outdoors and meet other kids who love to surf

We have 2 types of nudie SurfGrom programs:

  • 4 day intensive programs during school holiday times with sessions running daily from Monday to Thursday.
  • term programs which are usually one day a week for 4 weeks on Saturdays or Sundays.
  • Classes run daily from 8am to 9.30am

We include wetsuits in winter and rashies are in your backpack and soft beginner surfboards in addition to fully qualified instruction and fun.

Broadbeach Meeting Location

Please meet at our Big White Van in the Kurrawa Surf Club car park at 7.45am ready to go. See a link to a Map of our meeting point below.


Our Broadbeach lessons begin at our trailer in the car park at the Kurrawa Surf Life Saving Club in central Broadbeach on Old Burleigh Rd. If you are travelling along the Gold Coast Hwy you need to look out for the traffic lights at the corner with Pacific fair shopping centre on one side and the Star casino on the other side. Turn towards the beach at these traffic lights into Margaret Avenue. Proceed to the beach end and turn left towards the Kurrawa Surf Life Saving Club. Find a car park and look for our Big White Van in the car park beside the Surf Club on the beach side of Old Burleigh Road.

Meeting Point

We meet at our trailer, at least 10 minutes before the start of each session, Meet at our trailer in the car park on the beach side of the roundabout at the corner of Margaret Avenue and Old Burleigh Road.
