SUP Lesson Prices

SUP Lessons

SUP Lesson prices begin at $72 per person for a 1.5 hour lesson. Lessons at Palm Beach on the Gold Coast in Queensland or at Anglesea on the Great Ocean Road in Victoria will give you a great fitness workout. It provides excellent core muscle work and also allow you to take a leisurely trip in either location.

We provide specially designed SUPs in different styles. We have some soft beginner SUPs – G Boards and some fibreglass SUPs – Naish Boards and also some Inflateable SUPs – Red.

If you take a SUP lesson on flat sheltered water, you will certainly find it a lot easier than surfing on waves. We use large, wide, easy to balance, boards and adjustable paddles to suit everyone.

If anyone is having difficulties with balance we can arrange a larger board to make it easier.

We begin the SUP Lesson with basic safety and equipment information and start by teaching the Safety Position (see photo). This is the best position to begin and to return to if you have any balance difficulties or are about to return to the shore. We then teach everyone how to stand up and basic paddling techniques. Once everyone has learnt how to turn and how to get back onto the board if they fall off, we take the group on a journey and have a few games along the way.

Locations

On the Gold Coast in Queensland we hold our SUP lessons at Palm Beach on Currumbin Creek. It is a sheltered arm of Currumbin Creek with shallow water and easy conditions for beginners.

At Anglesea on the Great Ocean Road in Victoria we run our SUP Lesson on the Anglesea River. It is just around the corner from our shop at Anglesea on the Great Ocean Road. We take a journey up the river and explore Coogoorah Park – an exciting group of islands with bridges and channels everywhere in a bush setting.
