Anglesea Learn to Surf
Anglesea learn to surf, on the Great Ocean Road, is a fantastic place for surf lessons. Conditions at Anglesea learn to surf are ideal for surf lessons or surf hire. This is because we have beautiful clean water, a safe beach, and one of Australia’s best learn to surf destinations!
Anglesea is a gorgeous, small coastal town where the bush meets the sea. This allows the stunning advantages of bush, river and sea to combine . There are also a large number of school camps in Anglesea and Go Ride A Wave arranges surfing lessons for most of them.
Our surf school specialises in daily, beginner surf lessons. Furthermore, group and private lessons are available on request. Our surfing lessons are all conducted in waist deep water, to keep it safe for beginners. Anglesea learn to surf is run by Go Ride A Wave, Australia’s favourite surf school, established in 1987. Our shop is opposite the beach and is the closest shop to the beach. It is only a short walk to the beach or river for lessons and hire.
Anglesea learn to surf has a wide range of surf hire available, which includes a full range of soft learner Gboards. We also have a full range of NSP hardboards designed for intermediate and advanced surfers. In addition, we also hire out wetsuits, stand up paddle boards, sit on top kayaks and bodyboards.
Anglesea is the home of Go Ride A Wave’s head office and is the place where Go Ride a Wave first started in 1987. Since then we have grown considerably and expanded into Torquay and then right along the Great Ocean Road. We are now also in South East Queensland on the Sunshine Coast and the Gold Coast. Go Ride a Wave is not a franchise operation. It is a wholly company owned business which is still expanding to new locations.
PLEASE NOTE: Over summer all Stand Up Paddle board classes will meet at the river end of Agnes Lane (formerly called Wray St).
